After four weeks of postponements, Fall River and New Bedford will still
have to wait a week to find out who will advance to the National Challenge
Cup semifinals, as the two clubs played to a 1-1 draw after extra time. Fall
River grabbed the lead just before halftime through Tommy Swords, who
headed in a corner kick for the 1-0 lead. Taylor wasted no time after the
break to equalize, connecting on a centering pass from Bernier.
The clubs then went on to play through full time and thirty minutes of extra
time with out a winner, so the teams will meet for the replay on April 8 in Fall
River. The game also marked the final contest at the Athletic Field, as it was
set to be broken up into housing lots.

3/20/16 Cleveland, Ohio
Pullman F.C. left Cleveland with a spot booked for the National Challenge
Cup semifinals, after defeating Thisltes F.C. 3-1. Mackie opened the scoring
with the first of his two goals, off of a pass from Pollit. Pullman looked to
have doubled their lead shortly thereafter, but a hand ball call nullified the
goal. Thistles pulled even midway through the first half on a goal from Clark.
As Pullman goalkeeper Holmes put the ball back into play after saving a shot
from Bradford, Clark quickly sent the back past Holmes. Pullman wasted no
time grabbing the lead back, this time for good, as J.C. Cartwright tallied, and
Mackie added his second near the end of the half to see Pullman through.
