Third Round

Robins Dry Dock, one of the top teams in the National Association

Football League, saw an expected easy match turn tough, as they

got by Tebo Yacht Basin 3-1. Robins opened the scoring fifteen

minutes in, as Harry Ratican hooked a shot past Tebo goalkeeper

Spittal. Ratican played a part in doubling Robin's lead at halftime,

sending a pass to McGuire in front of the goal, which McGuire easily

turned in for a 2-0 lead. Tebo began to press in the second half,

and were rewarded with a goal from Harvey, who beat Robin's

goalkeeper Pete Renzulli with a shot from the extreme right of the

goal. Tebo continued to press, but Ratican put the game away just

ten minutes from full time, scoring after a series of passes with Garside.

Rochester City Moose won the right to represent Northwestern New York

in the fourth round of the National Challenge Cup, defeating McNaughton

Rangers 3-1 in Rochester. McNaughton pressed Rochester early in the

game, as Strickland and Bliss broke up many of the Rangers chances,

leaving the game 0-0 at halftime. Rochester game out in the second

stanza with renewed vigor, and off a pass from Horrocks, Doodson

blasted a short drive to give the Moose a 1-0 lead. Rochester doubled

their lead when Doodson sent a cross to Campling, who found no trouble

converting into a goal.  McNaughton quickly answered, as James McKinlay

fed Fratter for a shot on goal that Rochester goalkeeper Alex Briddon

could not reach. Doodson closed the door on McNaughton however, scoring

his second goal of the match.

round cup tilt, after playing to a 3-3 draw after extra time. Frank

Gomora opened the scoring for Olympia in the first half, while Petroskey

and Dixon tallied to give Palmer Park a 2-1 halftime lead. In the second

half, the clubs traded goals in a short span, Aulicky drawing the game

level for Olympia, and F. Osborne restoring Palmer's lead. Palmer was

reduced to ten men when Thomas Westwater was sent off by referee

Andrew MacKenzie in the 75th minute. Olympia quickly took advantage,

and equalized through Frank Gomorra's second goal.
