The Boston Wonder Workers held off the upset minded Fore River

F.C. 2-1 at Boston. Boston scored their first goal after twenty-five

minutes, when John McArthur scored on a long shot that beat Fore

River goalkeeper McCormick. Five minutes later, Bobby Blair doubled

the lead. Fore River struck back just before halftime, on a long drive

from Evans, which went through Tommy Steel's fingers and into the

net. Boston held off Fore River the rest of the way for the victory.

The Brooklyn Wanderers and Indiana Flooring played to a 2-2 draw

after extra time at Hawthorne Field in Brooklyn, requiring a replay be

staged next week determine who will advance. Indiana took a 1-0 lead

into halftime, thanks to a Bob Millar goal after thirty minutes. Caleb

Schylander's shot struck the crossbar, but Millar was there to put away

the rebound. Brooklyn drew the score level in the 66th minute, as Bobby

Yule scored off a centering pass from Billy Adair. Brooklyn moved ahead

early in the first extra period through Johnny McGuire, but Indiana tied

things up in the second extra period, as Millar scored his second goal of

the match. Near the end of extra time, John Foy was sent off for a hard

foul on McGuire.
